I have been learning about Master Mind Alliance through the Master Key Experience, and while reading Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill. Well, this is one more thing that fits right in with Pilgrimage as well.
Here’s Hill’s definition of a Master Mind Alliance:
Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose. Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich
He also says:
No individual may have great power without availing himself of the ‘Master Mind.’ Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich
Or as Mark says:
No one makes it without a Master Mind. Mark Januszewski, Master Key Experience
Hill further explains the economic and psychic aspects of the Master Mind Alliance:
The economic feature is obvious. Economic advantages may be created by any person who surrounds himself with the advice, counsel, and personal cooperation of a group of men who are willing to lend him wholehearted aid, in a spirit of PERFECT HARMONY.
The psychic phase of the Master Mind principle … has reference to the spiritual forces with which the human race, as a whole, is not well acquainted. You may catch a significant suggestion from this statement: ‘No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind.’ Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich
Well, for those of us involved with the Master Key Experience, you already know that a Master Mind is a beautiful thing.

When it comes to Pilgrimage – at least the Way of St James/ Camino de Santiago – we have a perfect example. Every year there are hundreds of thousands of pilgrims (except 2020) moving westward across Spain, in a spirit of perfect harmony! Wow!
Add to that the support network of albergues and other accommodations, bars and eateries, churches, supermercados, outdoor stores, and even wineries – everything is designed to help each and every pilgrim to reach Santiago de Compostela, safe and sound.
On a smaller scale, each pilgrim typically develops a smaller Master Mind Alliance, fondly termed their ‘Camino family’ – a cohort of pilgrims that you see on a semi-regular basis as you walk.
I formed a Master Mind Alliance before I even left Edmonton, by joining the local chapter of the Canadian Company of Pilgrims, an alliance I still treasure!
Then I brought my own Camino Family to Spain, and not just my daughter. I was part of a group of six pilgrims from my city, all starting our pilgrimage at St Jean Pied de Port on April 14, 2018.
And we quickly added to our family, especially with folks we met in St Jean the night before we started walking; and at Orisson, where we stayed the next evening. You tend to find a group of people who are on the same ‘schedule’ – you walk about the same distance each day and see each other during the walk or in the evening. And my favourite place to bond with new Master Mind partners – around the table, with food and vino tinto!
This is invaluable, as everyone helps everyone, as in (you guessed it) a Master Mind Alliance. We made a What’s App group and kept each other up to date on where we were staying, where’s a good place to eat, or any other tidbit to share.
There was also physical support. My one friend was an expert in treating blisters and her skills were in high demand. Sometimes we all cooked together, sometimes we helped each other through difficult times.
Some people I am still friends with. And others I met only once and yet they made an impact on me and my journey.
mke and master mind alliance
There are many alliances within the Master Key Experience. You have your ‘Guide’ and ‘Tribe’ assigned when you join the program, and you develop other friendships and alliances as you progress and when you branch out into other parts of the Training Solutions World, like Go90Grow, or Color Code training.
My favourite Master Mind Alliances came as the result of the Live Event, which I attended in June of 2019. I meant some truly remarkable people there, and I have two stories to share about that.
At the end of the Live Event, we were each assigned a Master Mind partner. Mine was the lovely Day Boswell. We met a few times on Zoom and did some chatting. Then we started to talk about a book we were both reading. What an amazing little book, we thought, and wouldn’t it be great to share with the MKE community? Well, we did – and our “Greatest Salesman in the World, Part 2” book study was born, with plenty of help from Lori Enrico as well. That was a huge success, and has really boosted my own confidence!
The other story is about the MKE Live Event Marco Polo Group. This is quite an active group of MKE members who have attended either the live (2019) event or the virtual (2020) event. We have great conversations, ask thoughtful questions, encourage and challenge each other. Recently I was challenged to re-invent ‘The Gal in the Glass’ poem, making it positive and personal. This was a great exercise!
And one more Master Mind Alliance to add – there is a brand new group of MKE-ers who are poised to flood the world with the positive message of the Master Key Experience and reach the goal of the ‘March to 3000’ which is the vision of having 3000 NEW self-directed thinkers starting up the Master Key Experience this fall – and this group is certainly in perfect harmony, I can’t wait to learn more!
If YOU want to learn more – just ask me.
Buen Camino!
Arlene, thanks for showing examples of the Master Mind Alliance and explaining its importance. From your blog rover friend John.
Fabulous! Love it!
Thanks for sharing it is great to hear from someone that has been through a few times. THANKS
Thank you John!
Thanks Nicole, you are sweet!
Thanks Darcy, still learning!
And what a world of personal experience you are bringing to the M23K, Arlene! I’d love to be one of the first to hoist a glass of vino tinto as a toast to your outstanding contributions! 🙂
Yes, I would love to enjoy some Vino Tinto with you one day!
