This is my third time starting the Master Key Experience, and this time through I would like to look at it from a different perspective. As a pilgrimage.
According to Wikipedia, a pilgrimage is a journey or search of moral or spiritual significance.
A pilgrimage is a journey, often into an unknown or foreign place, where a person goes in search of new or expanded meaning about their self, others, nature, or a higher good, through the experience. It can lead to a personal transformation, after which the pilgrim returns to their daily life. Wikipedia
Well, that sounds a lot like the Master Key Experience!

Some of you may have done a pilgrimage. Two and a half years ago I walked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage in Spain. This was a journey of approximately 800 km (500 miles). I am not sure that I was searching for something in particular, but there was self-discovery. This included learning what I am capable of doing, what my limitations and strengths are, and I learned a lot about other people as well. Including my daughter, as she was my primary walking partner for this 36 day odyssey. I was blessed to have her at my side, and we helped each other a lot (a true mastermind alliance).
You could also liken the pilgrimage to the Hero’s Journey, and I might talk more about that later. But for now I want to see if I can treat the Master Key Experience like a pilgrimage. After all, it is a journey, I am seeking something – a new Me! Or the good old me, but better.
Actually, I am going so far as to say that the Master Key Experience IS a pilgrimage, not just LIKE a pilgrimage.
Do we ever return, as a pilgrim, to our old life? I don’t think so, at least not in the same way. We will see as we go along.
I think this will give me a reason to continue blogging, and a theme for the year. I am looking forward both to the Master Key Experience, and to my renewed “pilgrimage” this year.
I love this! The MKE is a pilgrimage – we don’t return the same. Just like the quote about stepping into the same river twice, for it is not the same river and I am not the same person.
We are all perfect as we are, just not complete. So encouraging!
I am looking forward to reading more. Thank you for sharing!
Love the comparison Arlene to a pilgrimage. Great job!
With your whirlwind of #MKE activity, Arlene, you remind me of Bibi! 🙂
Thank you Louise! The more I think about it, the more it is true.
Thanks Loren, that’s quite a compliment. Mahalo!
Thanks so much!
