MKE Week 2 – Waking with Vitality

Well, this is an exciting ride already!

In the Greatest Salesman in the World, Og Mandino says:

“As the words of these scrolls are consumed by my mysterious mind I will begin to awake, each morning, with a vitality I have never known before.  My vigor will increase, my enthusiasm will rise, my desire to meet the world will overcome every fear I once knew at sunrise, and I will be happier than I ever believed it possible to be in this world of strife and sorrow.”

I am a morning person, and I have been getting up at 6:00 am for several years now, to read something motivational, maybe meditate, and plan my day.  I love the peace and quiet of the house before anyone else gets up.  I was introduced to the concept of CANI (Constant And Neverending Improvement) a long time ago, and know the power of learning and applying knowledge.  So I didn’t think this would make much difference. Well, since I started with the Master Key Experience, I have been waking up before my alarm, and truly with more vigor and enthusiasm, feeling quite energized, even if I did not get quite as much sleep as I could.

And then this morning while doing my 15 minute sit exercise, I really “got it” (at least I think I did).  I had no trouble last week when the task was just to sit still.  No problem, but my mind wanders constantly. So this week has been more challenging.

But this morning, after a few minutes of clearing away those wandering thoughts, I had a few moments (felt like 2 minutes but probably not that long) where I felt nothing but a feeling in my solar plexus, (the organ of the subconscious mind) a feeling of energy and excitement.  It felt sort of like the butterflies in your stomach when you are nervous and excited. But I was just feeling that feeling, and no wandering thoughts for a good period of time. It was wonderful!

I love the concept of this course.  It is quite brilliant to layer these masters together and study them concurrently.  Og Mandino, Charles Haanel, Napoleon Hill – wow!  These works are all meaningful on their own, but when combined, they take on a deeper meaning.  Wow, wow, wow!  Can’t wait to continue the journey!
